GMPD COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS

INTERPRETATION

♦ BG means British Gymnastics.

♦ GMPD means Gymnastics and Movement for People with Disabilities.

♦ Technical Committee means the GMPD Technical Committee of British Gymnastics and/or Technical Committees appointed from time to time acting with the appropriate delegated authority.

♦ Organisers means the GMPD Competition Organiser who is authorised by or on behalf of British Gymnastics.

♦ Code means GMPD Adopted Code of Points for voluntary competitions.

♦ Championship means any competition organised by or on behalf of British Gymnastics.

♦ Any supplementary instructions or rules issued from time to time by or on behalf of British Gymnastics, in connection with any particular event, shall have the same force as though they were included in the regulations.

Unless otherwise stated the following regulations will apply at all GMPD National competitions. Regions are encouraged to adopt the regulations wherever possible. Where no specific point is addressed the current FIG Rules apply.

ORGANISATION OF COMPETITIONS British Gymnastics shall hold annually such Championships as appear from time to time proper to the needs and objectives of British Gymnastics. Such Championships will be organised by the GMPD National Competition Organiser. As far as is practical, particulars of a Championship or competition shall be made known at least 12 months before the date thereof.

BRITISH GYMNASTICS MEMBERSHIP

� Gymnasts must be Silver, Gold, Joint Gold or Life members of BG in order to enter a BG competition.

� Coaches must be Gold, Joint Gold or Life members of the BG and qualified to Club Coach or above,

before being allowed to participate in a BG competition. The name of the attending coaches together with

their membership numbers must be entered on the gymnast’s competition entry form. � All gymnasts must have a coach present on the competition floor at all times.

IF A GYMNAST ATTENDS THE COMPETITION WITHOUT A COACH, THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO

COMPETE. � “When submitting entries for a British Gymnastics event, the onus is on the club and coaches to ensure that the coaches attending to the participants, are qualified to the level of the participants’ performance” � Judges – all Judges at BG national competitions must be Gold, Joint Gold or Life members of BG. � Coaches, Judges and gymnasts should carry current membership cards to all competitions. These may be checked by the Competition Controller/Organiser. ELIGIBILITY (Amended 24 March 2010)

� GMPD competitions are designed to provide events for people whose disability or impairment restricts

their mainstream competitive opportunities. � The GMPD TC have agreed that, within each discipline, a gymnast competing as an individual or team

member in mainstream competition, at or above the following levels, will be ineligible to enter GMPD competitions.

� Nationality – Competitions are open to British citizens who must be members or Silver members of BG.

Foreign nationals may be included in team competitions providing they are members or Silver members of BG and are members of a BG registered club, which they have represented for at least one year before the date of the competition.

� Foreign teams or individuals may enter BG GMPD competitions as ‘guests’ at the discretion of the GMPD Technical Committee provided they are members of their own Association.

� Foreign teams or individuals entering a competition, as guests, will be required to pay the competition entry fee but will not formally be placed in the results.

� Gymnasts can only compete and represent one club in any BG recognised team or individual competition in any one-competition year (1

st January – 31

st December).

� Gymnasts who opt to be unattached from a club at the beginning of the membership year must remain unattached for the purposes of competition for the remainder of that competition year.

� A gymnast may opt to enter an individual championship of a higher age group. � Age is as of 1

st January preceding the competition.

� Minimum age of entry to competitions is 8 years of age as at 1st January in the year of competition.

ONLINE ENTRY

All GMPD Gymnastics event entries are now ONLINE ONLY.

Entry to all National competitions will only be online via the BG website (Disabilities/entry forms) where the procedure will be fully explained. The system can be accessed by club and / or regional secretaries.

All entries must be made electronically and received at BG by the closing date.

• Methods of Payment: Debit Card, Credit Card, Switch Card or a cheque. Payments made by cheque

must be received at BG Office within 48 hrs of the electronic entry being accepted by BG.

ENTRY FORMS Paper entry forms will only be available only from the BG Events Department office in exceptional circumstances. Only correctly completed entry forms will be accepted and must be submitted no later than the time stated on the closing date. The entry fee must be enclosed. Regulations are printed with each entry form.

ENTRY FEES See specific competition regulations. All cheques should be payable to ‘British Gymnastics’ with the gymnasts/club name on the back. The reference code for the competition should be written on the back of the cheque (see relevant competition).

ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES � All entries should be received at the BG Office on or before the closing date for that particular

competition and must be completed in full as directed. � Note must be taken of the closing day being Friday at NOON. � Incorrect or incomplete entries will be void and will go onto the late entry waiting list. If a postal strike or similar difficulties are experienced, a fax of the entry will be accepted as a temporary receipt if accompanied with a photocopy of the entry cheque until the original is received. � It is the responsibility of the person completing the entry form to ensure that all details are accurate. � Requests for changes to an entry (which may arise from inaccurate information or completion of the wrong form for that particular competition/age group etc) after the closing date, must be made in writing and may be considered as late entries. These may not be accepted. � The GMPD committee reserves the right to change the working order to maintain a regular competition structure/format and the time of commencement of the round or competition.

� All gymnasts and coaches must register by the advised time on the programme and remain in the venue. � BG acting through the board or its committees reserves the right to refuse any entry and disqualify a competitor or team at any time if they do not comply with BG regulations. � Late entries will only be accepted on payment of triple entry fees for individuals and double entry fee for

teams..

SECTION 2

COMPETITION ARRANGEMENTS

ENTRY TO THE VENUE All competitors, nominated reserves and nominated coaches will be allowed free entry to the competition venue.

ORDER OF PERFORMANCE � The order of competing for individual events and team events shall be decided by lot, a free draw being

made by the organisers or such officials as may be authorised by the GMPD Committee. � In team competitions, where there is more than one team in a group, each team will perform as a whole. � In team competitions the coach may choose and vary the order of the members of his/her team on each

piece of apparatus, according to the order, which he/she believes to be the best for the team.

APPEALS AGAINST SCORES Appeals must be made in writing to the Competition Controller for the event and must be submitted within 10 minutes of the end of that competition session. All protests must include: � Gymnasts number � The declared score � The technical reason for the protest � The protest fee of £10 (returnable if protest is upheld).

TENURE OF TROPHIES It is the responsibility of the winner of an annual trophy to ensure that it is properly inscribed, cleaned and returned in time for presentation to the next holder either:

� By making arrangements for it to be delivered to the competition venue on the day or � By returning it to the Competition Organiser one week prior to the competition or � By returning it to the BG offices at least one week prior to the competition.

PROVISION OF OFFICIALS The Competition Organiser will nominate these. Where possible the majority of tasks will be undertaken by members of BG who are local to the competition venue. Out of pocket expenses for those where it is deemed necessary to travel and/or stay overnight at the venue, will be paid as part of the competition budget in accordance with BG guidelines.

JUDGES Provision and allocation of judges will be undertaken by the Judging Convenor (unless otherwise stated) with the support of the relevant mainstream technical committee Judging Convenors. Expenses will all be dealt with under the rules of BG and information regarding any costing must be provided and handed to the Competition Organiser for forwarding to the competition Event Co-ordinator at BG.

WELFARE OFFICER In accordance with BG Rules and Regulations a Welfare Officer will be in attendance at all GMPD competitions. The Welfare Officer will enter the arena with the march on of officials and gymnasts, and will be presented to the gymnasts and audience.

FINANCIAL PROVISIONS The Competition Organiser shall prepare a balance sheet of income and expenditure relating to the competition.

APPARATUS � Whenever possible the equipment at GMPD competitions will be to FIG specification, which will include

height and width. � Safety mats – for landing from Vault, Bars, Beam, High Bar, Parallel bars and Rings, an additional 2m x

2m x 5cm safety mat may be used. � Yurchenko Vault – A Yurchenko safety block MUST be placed around the springboard. A hand placement

mat may be used for the round off and should be supplied by the competing gymnast. � Only a bench or competition beam will be used in NDP competition. � Only a full height beam will be provided at Voluntaries, set at 125cm. Mats can be used to reduce the

height to a minimum of 1 metre. � The vault / table heights are as specified in the competition rules and regulations.

� Tall gymnasts – Bars may be raised by a sufficient amount to allow the gymnast to clear the safety matting where a gymnasts feet touch the base matting in hanging, or hips touch the base matting in hanging on low bar, on request prior to the start of the competition.

� Short Gymnasts – The Asymmetric Bars may be adjusted beyond FIG regulations to accommodate gymnasts of short stature on request prior to the start of the competition.

� Use of the adapted (small) set of bars must be requested on the entry forms. � Single low bar should be at shoulder height. � A coach must remain within spotting distance of the gymnast on Asymmetric Bars (i.e. between the

Bars), Vault and Beam dismount, High Bar and Rings. Judges will not deduct a mark due to the presence of the coach. The criterion does not permit the coach to touch the gymnast during the routine unless it is to prevent an accident. The routine, or part routine, will not be assessed while the coach is out of position.

DRESS � All gymnasts to be dressed in accordance with current FIG and National regulations for male/female

competitors. � Gymnasts or coaches should not wear clothing indicating national team representation. � All competitors in a team should be uniformly dressed. � Gymnasts must not remove leotards until they are in the competitors seating area. � Failure to comply with any of the above will result in normal dress penalties being imposed. � Jewellery is not permitted at a competition. All body piercing should be removed before the start of warm

ups. Requests can be made to adopt reasonable clothing modifications at any BG competition on religious grounds only. All requests must be on the official BG Clothing Modification Request Form and submitted with the competition entry, at least four weeks before the competition closing date, to allow sufficient time for full consideration of the application and any possible health and safety implications. For March On and Presentations, gymnasts and coaches must be correctly dressed, i.e. if wearing track suit tops these should be done up. Failure to comply with this ruling means the gymnast will not be allowed to march on with the other competitors.

COACHES IN ATTENDANCE � Individual competitions. Only nominated coaches will be allowed in the competition arena at any time. � Team Competitions. Only nominated coaches will be allowed in the competition arena at any time. � A Team Manager will be identified as a nominated coach and he/she will be responsible for the

registration of the team and any protest as well as the general conduct of the team. � Coaches MUST have a minimum of General Club Coach Qualification. � Assistant Club Coaches are permitted on the competition floor, but not in an active coaching role. � Coaches should wear a tracksuit or collared polo shirt and tracksuit bottoms. � Coaches should wear appropriate footwear in the competition arena. � All jewellery, except ear studs, should be removed. Wedding rings should be removed or taped over.

COACHING QUALIFICATIONS AND BRITISH GYMNASTICS EVENTS

There is an obligation for coaches to ensure that they hold the appropriate level of qualification in

order to safeguard the participants and to meet BG insurance criteria. Coaches have a duty of care

towards their performers and have a responsibility to ensure that they are both qualified and

competent to teach at the appropriate level. The coach also has a duty to ensure that the participant

is adequately prepared for the event.

The practice of supervising participants who are working above the level of the coach’s qualification in BG events cannot be condoned.

The caveat that permits coaches to practice to one level above their coaching qualification (Section 3.7 in the coaching syllabus) refers to a training environment only. Its purpose is to enable coaches to practice within the post course guided learning environment following attendance at a course and in preparation for the examination.

Consequently the Joint Technical Committee agreed that the following statement should be included on the entry forms for all BG events. 1. “When submitting entries for a British Gymnastics Event the onus is on the club and coaches to

ensure that the coaches attending to the participants are qualified to the level of the participants’

performance”.

2. By entering a British Gymnastics event using the online entry system, there is an acceptance that

this criteria has been adhered to.

INJURIES The decision of the BG appointed medical officer as to the gymnast’s condition and ability to continue following an injury during warm up or competition at the event is absolute and final.

DRUG FREE SPORT The Olympic Games is the ideal that all sports measures themselves by and aspire to model. One of the key foundations is the principle based on fair play. Without question there should be an emphasis on 'fair play' in regard to the adherence to the rules of a drug free sport. It is therefore necessary, and appropriate that a testing programme operates at British events. Under FIG Regulations all British Gymnastics events are notified to the Sports Council. Gymnasts and coaches should be aware that drug testing will take place at competitions; deemed to be testing 'in competition' and potentially at National Squad training; deemed to be 'out of competition'. At National events, be that competition or squads, the collection of doping control samples shall be initiated and directed by UK Anti-Doping in coordination with British Gymnastics. For detailed information on British Gymnastics' Anti-Doping Policy, please visit www.british-gymnastics.org, Ethics and Welfare, Downloads. There is every possibility that gymnasts will be selected, (either randomly or targeted from results within their competition), and requested to provide a urine sample. A standard urine sample of between 90ml will be required. For a gymnast taking any medications, it is vital that these are declared. If you are competing Nationally it is advisable that you check medications to ensure they are permitted. For any gymnast tested they will need to know the name of the medication, the dosage, frequency and the starting point of the course of medication, and the condition it relates to. If a gymnast is currently on any medication(s) which is restricted or prohibited, or have a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) certificate, particularly in relation to the control of asthma, it is essential to ensure that the British Gymnastics Chief Medical Officer, Dr Pippa Bennett ([email protected]), is aware of this, and to ensure TUE material is taken to the event.

Supplements: Diet, lifestyle and training should all be optimised before considering supplements and athletes should assess the need for supplements by always consulting an accredited sports dietician and/or registered nutritionist with expertise in sports nutrition, and a sports and exercise medicine doctor, before taking supplements. Recent scientific evidence has shown that supplements can become contaminated with banned substances during their production, and could lead to a positive finding. Using the principle of 'strict liability' it is the gymnast who is held accountable if a prohibited substance is found in a sample provided, intentional or unintentional Gymnastics medical staff. It is imperative that you seek advice if you are uncertain on medications, or the testing procedure. It is essential to promote, support and show that we are drug-free in the campaign to ensure sport is 'clean'. Checking Medication(s): If you have any concerns, or are unsure as to whether a medication is a restricted or banned substance, please refer to the following; Gymnasts can search particular brands of medications or for specific ingredients. The database is accessible via UKAD website, or directly; www.globaldro.com. Gymnasts, coaches and support personnel are also reminded that there are other ways to check the status of medications by using either the Drug Enquiry Line on +44 (0) 800 528 0004 or by emailing [email protected] or visit; www.ukad.org.uk. Please Note the following Changes to the 2010 list coming into effect 1st January 2010; The 2010 World Anti�] Doping Organisation (WADA) List of Prohibited Substances & Methods has a number of changes compared to the 2009 list. One of the most significant changes is the addition of PSEUDOEPHEDRINE to the list of BANNED substances. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant used to treat nasal and sinus congestion. It is an ingredient in some OVER THE COUNTER cold and flu medications such as Sudafed (some varieties). We would strongly advise you to RECHECK any medications that you are currently taking or that you may have at home, to make sure that you do not inadvertently contravene the new doping regulations. TECHNICAL BRIEFINGS Before the start of competitions or rounds of competitions (as notified by the Competition Organiser) a technical briefing will take place. The timing of this meeting will be that stated in the event programme sent out to clubs and/or coaches. Coaches should apply in writing for a ruling on any matters to be raised if they are unable to attend the first briefing of the competition.

Conditions for Audience Photography at Gymnastic Events

Short Form

In order to protect the welfare of children at the event, photography at this event is permitted only on

conditions set by British Gymnastics.

This is a summary of those conditions. A copy of the full text can be obtained from the Competition Organiser

or from the British Gymnastics website www.british-gymnastics.org If you do not agree to these conditions you

may not bring any photo equipment into the venue or take any photos.

1. ‘Photos’ includes any form of video or still image including those taken with mobile phones. 2. The Competition Organiser (or a person acting on his or her authority) may require anyone at the

event :

a. Not to take photos – either generally or in particular circumstances. b. To provide their full name and address and evidence of this

c. To let the Competition Organiser view any images recorded and to delete any images.

d. To surrender media or equipment on which the images have been recorded if they cannot be

viewed ( e.g. photos on traditional film), or if they can not be deleted.

3. Photos may only be taken and used in accordance with the British Gymnastics Child Protection Policy.

4. Photos may not be used, distributed or copied for commercial purposes.

Flash may not be used at any time while gymnasts are warming up or competing.

ACROBATIC GYMNASTICS – NATIONAL GRADES FINALS 2010 Date: 15

th / 16

th May 2010

Venue: Fenton Manor, Stoke on Trent. Competition Structure: Pairs Competition using adapted A – K grades structure. Only those competing at levels D, F, H & K of the ambulant programme may qualify to the national finals and from all three wheelchair levels. All levels will be made available at Regional Competitions. This competition is an integrated event organised by the Acrobatic Gymnastics Technical Committee. Pairs qualify regionally for National Finals. Entries for national finals via regional competition. For more information on regional qualification events in January and February, contact the Regional Competition Organiser for Acrobatic Gymnastics in your area.

REGIONAL QUALIFIERS All Gymnasts should qualify to the National finals through their regional Acrobatics Gymnastics qualification event.

The region will make available all levels in the GMPD competition programme. ONLY those

placed 1st

in the region in levels D, H, F and K are eligible to be entered in the national finals

A copy of the Regional programme signed by the Senior Judge MUST be included with entries.

NATIONAL FINALS

• The Regional Competition Organiser enters the first place qualifiers from the Regional Preliminaries

Levels D, F, H and K plus wheelchair A – C using the online entry system with a copy to Sandra

Sargeant.

• Entries will be checked for eligibility.

• The NCO will notify clubs of the competition structure three weeks prior to competition.

• BG will notify clubs and regions if any gymnasts qualifying for national finals are ineligible.

• The Regional Competition Organiser will be responsible for ensuring that the Events

Co-ordinator receives:

a) A copy of the Regional programme and results signed by the Senior Judge.

b) £20.00 entry fee per competitor in Pairs and Groups.

QUALIFICATION

The first placed competitor in each discipline of levels D, F, H and K and A – C of the wheel chair programme

are eligible to qualify to National Finals.

TARIFF SHEETS

Tariff sheets must be sent to the Regional Competition Organiser as and when requested in the Regional

Competition Details.

It is no longer BG policy to have a nominated stand-in coach at competitions.

ENTRY FORMS Fill in the competition entry carefully. Put the gymnasts' names down on the form in the correct order, i.e. bases first (E.g. WG - Base; Middle; Top) Bracket partnerships together. The online entry instructions give details of how this is done (BG website Disabilities/downloads.

Clearly indicate the discipline:- W (Women's) P (Pairs) Mx (Mixed) G (Groups) M (Men's) T (Tumbling)

Clearly indicate the level: - Pairs L (Level) D, F, H, K Make sure you are using the entry appropriate to the event/competition you are entering.

Complete a Club Competition Entry Form and send it to your Region and to British Gymnastics.

This will register your interest and should ensure that you receive the relevant and necessary information.

This will enable organisers to forecast the need for and size of competitions, both Regionally and Nationally,

for the year.

Since entry to NDP competitions is based on coach qualification, this document is essential, and will be

checked, before any competition entries can be accepted.

As coaches update or upgrade their qualification through the year an amended Club Competition Entry Form

should be sent to the Region and to British Gymnastics.

Make sure you meet the competition entry date.

Late entries will not be accepted in any circumstances.

Incorrect entry forms will be returned and will only be accepted if sent back with a double entry fee.

ENTRY FEES

Finalists for all GMPD levels will pay £20.00 each towards the cost of staging the finals. It is hoped that the

Regions will set their entry fees to cover the costs of their finalists.

It is the Regions responsibility to pay the total finalists contribution to British Gymnastics.

All entry fees are non-refundable.

MUSIC

• Read the information sent out by the Competition Organiser about music very carefully as this can greatly

help the smooth running of the competition.

• Put the competitor number (if you know it) on both the cassette / CD and the box.

• Make sure the cassette / CD and the box also contains the names of the gymnasts, their club, their

discipline, their level and their routine.

• Only have one routine on each tape / CD and have the tape rewound to where the gymnasts expect it to

start. TARIFF SHEETS

• Follow the correct procedure for tariff sheets, which may vary and so the competition information must be

read carefully.

• NDP events simply require (3) copies of the tariff sheet to be handed in on the day of the competition. AT THE COMPETITION

REGISTRATION When you arrive at the competition you will be asked to: -

• Register the gymnasts who are competing.

• Check the names of your gymnasts with those printed in the programme.

• Withdraw any gymnasts who are not competing.

• Hand in your music.

• Collect a copy of the up to date running order.

• Hand in your tariff sheets to the chief judge or relevant arbiter. ADVICE TO COACHES Warm-up procedure. Competitors must not warm up on the competition floor during the competition. There will be opportunity prior to the start of the event.

Have additional copies of the tariff sheets and music for all your competitors available at the competition.

Wear appropriate gymnastic clothing such as your club tracksuit or you will be asked by the Competition

Director to leave the competition area.

Ensure your competitors wear appropriate gymnastic clothing during warm-up or they will be asked by the

Competition Director to leave the competition area in line with FIG rules.

Have your gymnasts ready to compete 30 minutes before the published times, - changes to the programme

due to withdrawals can be made by the Competition Director.

Have your gymnast ready to take the floor immediately the previous competitors complete their routine.

Ensure your gymnasts are available for the march on 5 minutes before the start of the competition.

Ensure any of your gymnasts who are medallists are available for presentation ceremonies at the published

times.

Ensure that your gymnasts are aware that testing for drug abuse can take place at National competitions.

USE OF PHOTOGRAPHY/ VIDEO/ DIGITAL CAMERA EQUIPMENT

If any club member/person nominated by their Gym Club (written evidence to be provided) wishes to Video at

any BG Acrobatic Gymnastics Event, they must first register and fill in the designated Video Request form in

order to receive permission and an accreditation pass. (Fee £1.00 per person to Register).

The GC Administrator must authorize the form.

This form is available to download from BG website Disabilities/entry forms or Disabilities/downloads. PROGRESSION

Progression through the National Development Plan is at the discretion of the coach who should determine

the level appropriate to performers by taking in to account:-

Their maturity

Their ability

Their experience in Acrobatic Gymnastics or Gymnastics

The coach's level of coaching qualification

Competition Structure: Men’s and Women’s Artistic grading. The Women’s NDP routines (published 2006) for individual pieces of apparatus can be downloaded from the BG website. Women’s Range and Conditioning routines are as old rules (copies available from Jeremy Eddon). The Men’s NDP’s parallel bars sets have been changed this year. COMPETITION ENTRY TEAM COMPETITION Trophies will be awarded to the top Men’s and Women’s regional team at Junior (U16) and Senior (O16) level. Team scores will be achieved by adding the top 6 scores on each apparatus at any level or colour.

GRADINGS All ten levels will be offered at the event, for Men’s and Women’s. A voluntary competition is also available for those gymnasts who have already achieved a distinction at grade 1. Gymnasts must perform at the same level on each piece of apparatus to be graded, so receiving an ‘overall’ grading. Medals will be awarded for 1

st, 2

nd and 3

rd at each grade.

Cloth badges and certificates will be awarded for grades achieved. Grades will be awarded at three levels – Certification of Participation Up to 6.4 average Pass = 6.5 – 7.4 average Merit = 7.5 – 8.4 average Distinction = 8.5 and over average

COMPETITION ENTRY

Competition Format

♦ AGE GROUPS Junior (up to 16), Senior (16 +)

♦ Minimum age of competitors - 8 years of age on 1st January in year of competition.

♦ A gymnast may compete on single, multiple or All Around apparatus.

♦ Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2

nd and 3

rd placed All Around gymnasts at each age group.

♦ Where there are 3 or less gymnasts in a group the gymnasts will compete against a score and only if the scores are reached will medals be awarded. (See table on page 21).

♦ Apparatus medals will be awarded to the top 3 placed gymnasts on each piece of apparatus in the Senior Open section.

♦ At all other levels the top 3 placed gymnasts on each piece of apparatus will receive a certificate.

♦ Participation certificates will be presented to all competitors.

MUSIC

♦ All music CD’s or tapes must be submitted at registration (with tape rewound to the beginning).

♦ The music for the routine should be recorded at the beginning of both sides of the tape.

♦ Tape must be clearly labelled with – THE GYMNASTS NAME, LENGTH OF MUSIC & APPARATUS.

♦ Each piece of music must be submitted on a separate labelled tape.

Competition Format:

The competition will run using the Supplementary Code of Points for GMPD published in January 2008. This code is available from the BG website. The Competition Organiser reserves the right to combine groups where insufficient numbers mean that competition is not available.

Trophies Trophies will be presented to the winners of the Open (Senior) competitions. The trophies to be held for a year and to be returned at the next Championship competition. Medals: Medals will be awarded to the top 3 overall placing in each age group and at each level. To be considered for overall placing in the Open, Competition ‘A’ and Competition ‘B’ the gymnast must compete on a minimum of 3 (Women) or 4 (Men) pieces of apparatus. The overall total scores for each gymnast will determine the final placing. Apparatus medals will only be awarded in the Open competitions.
