Basketball is among the most popular sports in the world. It is easy to play, requiring only a ball, a hoop, and a court. Due to the large number of starts and stops, it’s not known for being an aerobic sport. However, playing basketball does burn calories, build endurance and muscle, and improves balance and coordination.

As a team sport, basketball also offers a number of social benefits. It’s a great way to meet new friends and see them regularly.
