Media Producers create products for audiences by putting a lot of time and effort in research prior to

producing the advert so that the advert fits into all the categories needed to appeal to the public and

increase sales. The different forms of research are Quantitative, Qualitative, Socio-economic,

Psychographic, Geo-Demographic

and Demographic research.

This advert will be aimed towards

those who are into football and

specifically into being up to date with

the fashion of football with new

football boots. The geo-demographics

of this advert will be focused upon

mainly the big cities across the

country like London, Manchester and

Newcastle for example and especially

those who are renown for being good

at football, as a higher proportion of

that city will be into football boots.

They’ve produced this advert to be

suitable by using Andreas Iniesta, one

of the world’s best players and role models, as this then captures the audience’s attention and makes

people want to buy the boot more so they can be like the Iniesta,

The demographics of this advert will be trying to get the attention of males as more males play

football than females,

People aged between 10 and 25 as that age gap is the most common age to play football and they

will always need knew boots and be up for changing their boots to keep up with fashion in the football

world. Psychographics has been thought about when producing this advert because they aren’t cheap

and have been aimed towards succeeders, aspirers and the Socio-economic status of the target

audience is middle and upper class economy due to the cost of the boot. They’ve aimed it towards

aspirers by involving one of the best players in the world which then captures everybody’s attention

and makes the boot appeal to more people than say just an actor in the advert. People will then

aspire to be like him and they can do that by purchasing the boots he wears in the advert.

Much like the previous advert I’ve

discussed, it’ll be aimed towards the

same age group and same sorts of

people. The Geo-demographics may

be slightly different as this is more

focused on Nike as appose to an

individual product. This advert is to

promote Nike as a brand and

specifically Nike football products

such as the new boots, kits and

latest big names players which then

increase the popularity of the video.

As this is more of a general advert,

it’s aimed towards all Psychographic

and Social-economic classes as

anyone can enjoy the advert.

My advert will be using the same sort of audience group in terms of Geo-Demographics,

Demographics and forms of research which will be considered. My advert will also be of the same

kind of style as this advert in that it’s about Nike in general and not focusing upon one general product

of Nike’s like a football boot or piece of clothing. This advert has been put together by making it

exciting and high tempo which then makes it appeal to those of all up bringing’s and social-economic

classes, Its more of a little production or short film rather than the bog standard advert. This then

means it’s audience has a wider range and is more popular. Obviously the main people it’s aimed

towards are those of a sporty background and live in a sporty area of the country geo-

demographically. Also those in larger, richer cities like London for example will consist of people

who’ll purchase more Nike products as they’re richer and Nike’s big in London, all though out in the

country there maybe be a better chance of playing sport due to land and space available. Also this

advert, due to its wide range of international stars featured in it, increasing the chances of foreigners

being involved in it and enjoying the advert, this also gives us a clue as to why bigger cities may be

the main target audience because of its high population of foreigners. Nike is a huge brand world

wide.
