I was born in Balashikha. And I always wanted to be a sportsman. Some years ago I went into

sport. It was sambo.

The word "SAMBO" is an acronym for SAMooborona Bez Oruzhiya, which literally

translates as "self-defense without weapons". Sambo is relatively modern since its

development began in the early 1920s by the Soviet Red Army to improve their hand-to-hand

combat abilities.

Do you think he is a diplomat or an actor? No.

He isn't. He is a famous sambist- Denis Davydov.

Denis was born in Balashikha in 1987.

He was a purposeful boy. He wanted to be the

first. And he reached the goal!

He became the winner of the European championship in 2010 and the winner

of world championship in 2012.

Denis Davydov is my role model. He is ambitious, strong-willed and successful. I hope someday I will

acheave the same result.
