• Vyacheslav Malafeev is a footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Zenit Saint

Petersburg

•  He is a one-club man, having spent all 14 of his professional

seasons with Zenit.

• Vyacheslav is vice-captain of the Zenit.

• Malafeev played for Zenit more than 400 matches

• Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Malafeev was born on the 4th of March, 1979 in Leningrad.

• In 1997, Vyacheslav began to play for the farm club of FC Zenit, Zenit-2.

• He got the chance to play for Zenit in the Premier League in 1999 .

• He started attending the Smena football school at the age of nine.

• Malafeev became the main goalkeeper for Zenit in 2001 and won a bronze

medal of the Premier League.

• In 2003 he won a silver medal of the Premier League, Russian Premier

League Cup and prize «Goalkeeper of the year».

• In 2007 Zenit won Premier League and Vyacheslav took his second prize

«Goalkeeper of the year».

2008 was a triumph for Malafeev. Vyacheslav won Russian Super Cup, UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup with Zenit.

• In 2009 he won only a bronze medal of the Premier League, but 2010 was lucky for him and Zenit: they won

Premier League and Russian Cup.• In 2011 Malafeev won Russian Super Cup and ranked in

the top of five best goalkeepers in the world according to the sports channel ESPN.

• In 2012 he won Premier League and took his third prize «Goalkeeper of the year».

• In 2013 Vyacheslav won silver medal of Premier League.

•Malafeev played for Russia national football team between 2003 and 2012.

• On 19 November 2003, Malafeev debuted for the national team in a Euro – 2004

qualifiers play-off against Wales.

• After Euro 2004, Malafeev, became the first choice goalkeeper for Russia, but quikly

lost his place in the goal.

• In 2008 he won bronze medal of UEFA European Football

Championship.• In 2012 he played 3 matches on Euro-

2012.• After the Euro-2012 he announced

that he is retiring from the national team to spend more time with his children.

• He is a businessman: he has his own realty agency.

• He was the producer of the film «All life in gloves», in which the best goalkeepers of the

world told about keepers craft.

•He is a kind man, because he involved in charity auctions.

•He has three children and I think he is a good father.
