In Europe PH is focused on “adding life to years”(healthy ageing)
Make people aware about how they want their life to be when they're old.
General public: campaigns, commercials or workshops at schools, community centers, companies, train/bus stations, facebook,
Start from 1 to 2 then to 4 and so on
Use the few that are interested to educate others
Give them tasks to research on quality improvement projects that have been done before
Hold work-shops with them more often
Always try make reference to recent quality improvement changes
Establish a work-place Quality Committee Have Quality as a standing agenda item in
your regular staff meetings If you have an established occupational
health and safety (OH&S) Committee, include Quality into the terms of reference(TOR).
Think about creating Quality Champions amongst your staff
Have weekly/fortnightly Quality quizzes and games
Create a Continuous Quality Improvement Log and ask staff to identify one workplace activity or procedure that could be improved (however small).
Reward and recognize improvement. One of the easiest ways to engage staff members in QI is positive reinforcement through reward and recognition of their efforts. Publicize all QI projects and outcomes, or encourage a friendly competition between units and reward with food, small gifts.
Forming unit-level improvement teams that had decision-making responsibility for change
Involving staff in brainstorming sessions designed to identify problems and generate ideas for change
Encouraging staff to experiment with little changes by conducting many small, rapid tests of change
Enabling staff to measure the effects of the rapid tests on care processes and outcomes
Encouraging staff to use these measures to decide whether to abandon, adapt, or adopt the change

Eva: I brainstormed about ideas that you coulduse to encourage QI campaigning in PH.
Phomolo: I tried to find some scholorly articles on Ebscohost and google scholor but i did not find any thing so i had to brainstorm.
Rachel: I found searching for quality improvement activities quite difficult- I used my home universities search engine and used the keys words "engaging staff in quality improvement activities".
