HR Job• Captures and stores the high-level HR and Payroll
attributes of the work that employees do• Acts as the foundation for the creation of HR Positions in
NAV• Contains “Score” Job Evaluation Functionality• Repository for most of the Attendance Management
setup parameters (e.g. AESOP, SFE integration)
HR Positions• Non-APM Positions• Single position tracks an employee’s current assignment only• Tracking only the current and the previous position
• APM (Advanced Position Management) • Location or portfolio specific iteration of a job• Hold multiple attributes for the employee work assignment• Contains both HR and Payroll settings that will apply to
employees when assigned an HR Position

Functions • Can be deployed to the WebApps for a de-centralized set of
functions• Utilizes a user-configurable defined workflow process
HR Position Ledger Entries (Assignments)• Repository for the details of the life cycle of an employee’s relationship with
his/her employer. • Tracks a wide variety of data elements associated with each position
regardless of it’s status including but not limited to:• HR Position Code• Assignment start/end date (Primarily HR)• Calculation start/end date (Primarily Payroll)• HR Position Hours/Day, Hours/Day & associated FTE • Pay Structure, Step and Grade, • Payroll Control Code • Entry Type• Leave details• Location Code
HRPLE Assignments (Cont’d)• Source of Data for many payroll calculations • Meets Service Canada Requirements with regard to the
ability to issue an ROE against one or more positions were necessary (i.e. 60% drop in earnings), permanent ending of an assignment etc.• Source for individual financial cost allocation for the
employee
