CASE STUDY
Client:Saint Louis 250 Anniversary (STL250)
Purpose:Campaign celebrated the 250th anniversary ofSaint Louis by creating v irtual scavenger huntshowcasing all 250 real world cake locations usingthe CandyBAR toolset.
CandyBAR’s custom app delivered historicalcontent for each cake location. User shared theirexperiences on social media, and collected pointsfor checking in at each cake sculpture location.
Campaign Highlights:App created civic pride for St. Louis and deliveredthe city’s history in a unique and memorableway.
Numbers:92,000 accounts created with 250 active in-applocations used.
The city of Saint Louis, MO reached out to us andasked if we could help families and tourists beguided to 250 4ft tall, actual fiberglass cakes thatlocal artists painted that were placed in historicalrelevant locations.
This was a year long campaign, during the wintermonths the app usage was slow as this was a GPSuse case “outside” and during the summer wasthe highest use with the fall being less used. Thecity expected about 30k of users, the campaignbrought in just over 90k of active users.
