Just recently I heard someone asking a question about the website design and how it influences income. I think that is an interesting topic, because I myself tried out many Wordpress themes on my blogs and witnessed unexpected results: some websites that had a crappy layout and ugly color combinations were bringing in more money than those that had premium templates installed. Of course, this wasn’t always the case but it did make me think:

We want to convey a certain message, share our experiences, teach other people, and that’s why we concentrate on creating quality content.

I really love this website, because the articles are pure quality, Yaro Starak (the author of this blog) is a likeable guy, who puts a lot of effort into building rapport with his readers.

Blogging is similar to journalism and its main focuses are building rapport and inform people.

That is a tough question. After reading Robert Kiyosaki I realized that it is always great to have multiple financial assets. Why don’t you build a lot of mini-websites on different topics (acne, weight loss, how to get pregnant, etc.) and a huge one – on a subject that you like.

They will make your website look more professional and trustworthy. Always remember that your main focus - besides making money – is getting people back to your blog. You can’t do that with an ugly theme.

So… Does The Design Matter?

Absolutely. As I’ve already demonstrated, certain templates can leave a great impression or make other people do what you want.

But here is the thing: content is king. I know you’ve heard this phrase a thousand times before, but it is true. If you won’t produce quality content, you won’t be having any visitors, and it really won’t matter how beautiful your website looks (even if the design of your blog was created by Leonardo Da Vinci himself).

It’s like in real life. Sure, you may have beautiful clothes that attract other people, but if you are a douche or/and have nothing to say, folks will leave and just forget you.

Some Last Words

Before starting a website, make sure you know why you are doing this. Do you want some quick cash, do you want to become famous; or maybe you want to earn a steady income by building a business?
