National Facts On Falling• 1 out of 3 adults age 65 and over falls each year.
• Every 18 seconds a senior is treated for a fall in a hospital emergency room.
• According to the National Safety Council, one person dies everyday from using bathtub/shower in the United States. Of the 24,000 accidental deaths of people over the age of 65 every year, many are directly related to bathing.
• On an average, 370 people across all age groups sustain injuries from bathtub/shower daily in the United States.
