Project Brief:Fulton Innovation (a division of Amway) asked Bazza Design to help in the development of their trade show exhibit for the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The focus of the show was going to be a Tesla Roadster electric vehicle. The Tesla was going to be charged wirelessly from a “parking spot” in a modern parking garage setting. The initial concepts of the exhibit included full scale 3D layouts of the vehicle and other exhibit elements in block form. Sketches of refined ideas were then created to explore interesting variations. Informational video monitors, parking garage and graphic visual elements were brought together to create an exciting and inviting center piece to the exhibit. The final design incorporated many of the concept suggestions put forth by Bazza Design.

Overall layout was fairly open. Individualized spaces were created for specific scenarios of Fulton Innovation technologies.

Banners hovered overhead to call attention.

Interesting graphic elements were used. Similar details should be used this year.

Refinement: Wireless Power Transmitter “Lid Cover”Created a series of graphical representations of what a wireless power transmitter could look like for the Tesla Roadster. The objective of this assignment was to create a futuristic parking garage lid that would be imbedded in the floor of the garage and be the source for wireless charging transmission to the Tesla. The look of the design was based on what might a post modern man hole cover look like.

This assignment was to create a design detail to demonstrate the small distance needed between the power transmitter and the Tesla Roadster (aprox. 4 inches). Variations of shape, overall form, space between, and attachment to the exhibit canopy were all considered. Work was done in 3D for speed of concept to final release of the exhibit build.
