•Arrive alone, but meeting with others
•Arrive alone, and stay alone
•Arrive in groups
Comfortable place for all types?
•Groups first have to seek out a large table
•Singles not meeting anyone are focused, get in line
•Those meeting others are distracted, sometimes uncomfortable, keeping an eye outCoffeehouse protocol?
•Companion: laptop, book, or friends/colleagues
•Lengthy stay
•Appetite is gradually developed
Staying longer than you expected?
•Group usually leaves all together
•But occasionally one by one
•At busy times, no table stays vacant for long

•Obligation to buy
•Quantity of goods vs. quantity of consumers
• Confidence in groups
• Purpose-driven consumers
