The approachTaking lessons in diagnostics from the medical industry, we developed a device for Unilever’s Dove brand to deliver an experience that supports brand activation and encourages consumers to trial Dove products.
The device uses hair-on-hair friction as a measure of hair surface damage and gives an instant reading, allowing the hostess to advise on a specific care and product regime.
We worked with Unilever from concept through to full production, taking responsibility for all aspects from industrial design, product development & global testing through to transfer to, and management of, the contract manufacturer
The end resultThe device connects to the internet and uploads damage scores along with various metadata to provide a foundation for both a consumer service platform and an R&D research platform.
