For reference, the National Compensation Survey from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows a mean income for full time workers of approximately $42,500 per year.


A United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) news release shows that people born in the years 1957 to 1964 held an average of 10.8 jobs from ages 18 to 42.

Statisticians will tell you to expect to have 3 careers in your life (a number that life coaches say is really 4 to 7 as the notion of corporate loyalty disappears into history and technology drives constantly evolving skill sets).
