Pedestrian Alert System PAS

Solution minimises any risks of collisions between forklifts in common work areas.


The Pedestrian Alert System (PAS) cautions the forklift driver when a pedestrians is detected within an adjustable distance of 1 to 6.5 metres.

In order to be identified by the PAS system, pedestrians carry electronic RFID tags or transponders that alert the driver of a potential human risk with clearly visible flashing lights.

Pedestrian Alert System PAS: Areas of application

• Loading and unloading zones dedicated to external drivers (people who are not familiar with the facilities and are at high risk of accidents within the space they share with the forklifts).

• Poor visibility areas such as junctions where pedestrians and forklifts may intersect or where storage corridor exist.

• Work spaces shared by machines and pedestrians such as production lines where the space for the movement of personnel and forklifts is very limited.


Low Speed Area LSA

Solutions to reduce risks in the warehouse limiting the speed of the trucks


The Low Speed Area solution (LSA) places a limit on the speed at which a forklift circulates through different areas of the warehouse.

This system is specially designed to reduce the speed of the trucks in areas with pedestrian activity or where others are working.

The function of the Low Speed Area solution is to prevent accidents that result from forklifts speeding in areas shared by forklifts and working personnel.

Hazardous Areas HA: Description

Claitec specialises in implementing a range of solutions designed to prevent occupational hazards in conveyor belts or recycling pits, specifically in the paper and cardboard recycling industry.

All operators must carry electronic tags with them. All machines and their respective conveyors must be fitted with detector antennas within adjustable distances between 1 and 5 metres to effectively detect the person carrying the tag, should they fall on the belt. In this case, the machine will automatically be stopped, and a serious accident will be prevented.

Truck Docking System TDS


Truck Docking System TDS: Description

The traffic light of the Truck Loading and Unloading Safety (TDS) cautions the driver of the presence of other personnel at a loading dock.

The dock is equipped with detection sensors which, after detecting a person, issue a signal to the traffic light. Upon being alerted by the traffic light, they can apply extreme caution and attempt to load or unload the goods carried on the dock without any risks.

Pedestrian Cross Safety PCS: Description

The Pedestrian Crossing Safety (PCS) solution is a system of traffic lights that indicates the presence of pedestrians crossing to forklift drivers.

Pedestrians are fitted with a series of tags or transponders which, emit light signals that are detected by an activator. Subsequently, the lights indicate the presence of pedestrians in the vicinity.

The traffic light featured by the Narrow Aisle Safety (NAS) solution cautions forklift drivers of the proximity of another forklift in areas with limited room to manoeuvre.

Collision Avoidance System CAS


Collision Avoidance System CAS: Description

The Claitec’s Collision Avoidance System (CAS) cautions forklift drivers of the presence of another truck within distances between 3-25 metres.

A PAS (Pedestrian Alert System) AC-50’s activator is installed in each of the forklifts to detect each other.

When a forklift detects another forklift in its safety zone, the driver is immediately warned about the potential risk.
