Blogging = Posts
Posts have categories
Posts are by default organized by reverse date
Posts have authors
Posts are not readily added to Menus
Posts = FRESHNESS

Organized first by Menu
Pages call out other Pages

Left Brain = PAGES: formal, static, ordered

Pages can’t be categorized
Pages have no essential order, except: Menu order

So to convert a business site to WordPress, where do we start?
Integrating Control+Freshness
Create Category for each Menu Item that might have additional posts related to it (most menu items with sublinks)
Create Landing Page for each Category Page introduces subject, first steps
Create Menu with all Landing Pages
On each Landing Page, display list of all posts in the category associated with this page HOW?
List Category Topics
Add plug-in “List Category Topics”
Add shortcode to each Landing Page

Ordering, exclusion/inclusion, concatenation, etc are all options

Example
Page introduces Topic
Page may mention specific posts to visit first
Then produces list of all posts in the category
New posts are automatically added to the page as they are published

What does a Business Want?
