• Communication is the largest major/ department in the Fulton school of business (Salisbury University website).

• Must be able to work with senior executives and narrow down broad ideas, concepts, and messages the executive wants to convey
• Conduct research about specific topics to get better understanding of how to create an informative speech

• Can work in industries like education, government, insurance, energy or financial services
• Salary can range from about 40k-100k a year• Speechwriters tend to have extremely good
medical/dental benefits• Profession is about 63% Female and 37% Male
