NFI, operated by the Ministry of Justice, is a leading forensic institute conducting technical and scientific analyses to help solve crimes.

Business Challenges: Processing and keeping track of thousands of items of evidence. ~ 100,000 items to be tagged and tracked each year. Maintaining full control of chain of custody.

iMotion-based Solution: Employees with RFID badges move tagged items through the building by

trolley or manually on trays. Specifically placed readers and software track all movement within

facility. About 800,000 events a year stored for on-line access and viewing.

50 doors in building installed with RFID readers and complex devices managed by iMotion.

Alerts and audible alarms generated when exceptions detected or rules violated.

Business Benefits: Full coverage of item movement without manual labor. Enforcement of rules to prevent cross contamination or illegal movement. Compliance with government mandate.
