DESCRIPTION
Facilitating an agile, interative, user-centric approach to digital service creation This session will reveal the results of our latest survey which looked at digital services and how government organisations are tackling the challenge of delivering world-class digital products that meet people’s needs. In total, 272 individuals from 163 organisations completed the survey representing central government and associated agencies. One of the key findings was that as part of their digital strategy, the majority of organisations are embracing the government’s move towards agile. In this session, we will highlight the HP software offerings that facilitate an agile, iterative, user-centric approach to tackling business problems. Speakers: Verity Greig, HP Software Sales Specialist & Consultant, Hewlett Packard Mark Turner – HP Software PreSales, Hewlett Packard

NAO Definition of Agile……in general Agile delivery teams will develop a project:
in an iterative and incremental way. In each short phase a delivery team will build part of the system and test it. The delivery team gives priority to areas of high impact or value to the organisation to reduce the risk that it fails to deliver a usable system.
At the end of each iteration there is a working product of a quality that the business could deploy and that users can definitely try.
User feedback helps the delivery team to improve the functionality in the next and subsequent iterations, identify what more needs to be added to the system and the order of priority; and by responding to change. A delivery team can accommodate valid changes to requirements or in technology because the system is built up incrementally.
