Junta de Extremadura guarantees the technological literacy of all its inhabitants regardless of the places where they live

Increase the free and democratic access of the Extremadura's citizenship to the Communication and Information Technologies (ICTs)

Show the use of Internet and the new technologies.

Promote the local, national, european and south-american dinamization networks, in order to promote the knowledge.

Show the benefits of e-administration on a basic level to go near the digital citizenship, promoting and motivating best practices.

Be aware at the new changes in the organizational culture between the administration and the citizens.

Enable the transfer of knowledge and be aware at the good practices acquired..

AIMS:


MOTIVATION / TRAINING / ORGANIZATION... are the axis of the Technological Literacy.

Inhabitants Participation: GENERATES SOCIAL VALUE

METHODOLOGY

History of a recent project:

1999, May: 6 Test Centres (cities, rural zones) New Houses of Culture.

2000, March: 20 Centres. New Centres of Knowledge

2000, September 33 Centres

2006, March: 45 Centres of Technological Literacy.

2006, May: 1 centre of literacy in each commonwealth.


Net of 45 New Centres of Knowledge, assigned by wide Extremadura's territory

Public spaces

Located in rural zones and the low-income neighbourhood in the cities.

With access to the network and technological equipment.

Access to ICT on equal terms.
