1.) Describe how you feel about your previous math subjects. My previous math subjects are hard especially Geometry and Trigonometry.
2.) From previous experience, name 3 weaknesses that you have regarding Algebra. Then state how you plan to overcome these weaknesses this term.
My weaknesses are radical expressions, linear and quadratic equations in one variable, and solving word problems. This term, I am planning to challenge myself by solving problems related to my weaknesses.
3.) Name 3 strengths that you have that you think will help you to pass ALGEB-X.Knowing basic algebra is one of my strengths, also polynomials and real numbers. I
also have the patience, perseverance and dedication to pass this course.
4.) Are you amenable to the classroom policies stated in the Learning Agreement? If not, make a comment, recommendation or suggestion.
Yes, I am amendable to the classroom policies stated in the Learning Agreement.
5.) Name at least one expectation that you have for this course.I expect that this course will be easier because we already discussed the topics
when we were in high school yet it'll still be informative.
6.) Relate how your first 2 weeks in class and CSB feel like.My first two weeks in class and in CSB are fun but challenging. My first two weeks
in class refreshed my mind and gave me a recap about what I've learned when I was in high school.

How to add dissimilar fractions:To add dissimilar fractions, first find the LCD. Example: + . ½ ¾
The LCD of 2 and 4 is 4.Then, divide the LCD to the denominator then multiply it to the numerator.
4 divided by 2 is 2. Multiply it by 1 equals 24 divided by 4 is 1. Multiply it by 3 equals 3
Put the LCD below as the denominator. So it becomes,
2 + 3 4
Now, add:2 + 3 = 54 4 4
Answer: 5 or 1.25 4

How to subtract dissimilar fractions: To subtract dissimilar fractions, first find the LCD. Example: 5 – 2 6 7 The LCD is 42.To make the fractions similar, divide the LCD to the denominator then multiply. 42 divided by 6 is 7. Multiply it by 5 equals 35
42 divided by 7 is 6. Multiply it by 2 equals 12Put the LCD below as the denominator
So it becomes,35 - 12 42
Then subtract, 35 – 12= 2342 42The answer is: 23 42

A farmer has 10 acres to plant in wheat and rye. He has to plant at least 7 acres. However, he has only $1200 to spend and each acre of wheat costs $200 to plant and each acre of rye costs $100 to plant. Moreover, the farmer has to get the planting done in 12 hours and it takes an hour to plant an acre of wheat and 2 hours to plant an acre of rye. If the profit is $500 per acre of wheat and $300 per acre of rye how many acres of each should be planted to maximize profits?
Let x = number of acres of wheatLet y = number of acres of rye. Let z= profit
Objective function (maximum):z= $500x + $300y

1. Name at least 5 things you have learned in class.
I learned and understand how to solve each problem better. I learned how to do factorization, solving composition of functions, solving equations using different methods like elimination method, substitution method and Cramer's rule. In addition, I also learned that Linear Programming could be helpful to me someday when I already have my own business or even in budgeting.2. Name at least 2 things you discovered about yourself.I discovered that I could do better on anything as long as I am dedicated. I also discovered how to be focused in class more.
For 3 - 9, Use this scale to answer the questions. Write 1 for "Never", 2 for "Sometimes" or 3 for "Always".3. Do you come to class on time? 34. Do you prepare for short/long quizzes? 25. Do you bring your book, notes, calculator in class? 36. Do you perform/submit online tasks before the deadline? 37. Do you solve the practice problems in class? 38. Do you attend the Laboratory class? 39. If you have a question, do you ask the teacher for clarification? 210. If you will give yourself a grade based on your performance during whole term in ALGEB-X class including lab, what will it be? Justify your answer. I would give myself a grade of 2.5 because I put effort on everything. I also do all the tasks and required ahead of time. I also jot down notes and do all practice exercises every time and bring my book.

While doing these tasks, I have learned so many things not only about solving mathematical problems but also about life lessons.
I encountered difficulties answering the tasks especially the one with graphs. Because it is a bit hard to move the line to the corresponding point Whenever I get a low score, I keep on answering it again until I got a perfect score.
Every problems in life has to solved. Even how hard a problem is, you have to think of different ways to solve it.

Jotting down notes while listening to the discussion was hard for me. I have to understand how a certain problem was solved while jotting it down or else I wouldn’t know how was that done.
I learned that all things in life is fast. I have to be alert and learn how to multi-task every time. Time will not wait for me so I have to do things as fast yet sure as I can. Another is that, I shouldn’t be afraid to involve myself with people that I trust. I should share my thoughts with other and remember that my friends are always there to count and help me.

These activities , especially the first short quizzes were hard to pass because I wasn’t prepared. Another reason why it was a bit hard for me to pass was because I solve and write a bit slow. These quizzes gave me life lessons also. I learned that I should do things fast but sure enough. Not because I got low scores in some of the activities, doesn’t mean that I have to give up already. There’s always anther chances but I have to make sure that I’m doing better next time. I also learned that it’s important to know what you believe in and hold your ground when you are faced with a decision. It doesn’t matter if it’s a really big decision or a seemingly insignificant one, the fact of the matter is that people are watching, and actions always speak louder than words.
