At the beginning of my E4 Sting project I started by first researching and finding out what the E4 Stings competition is all about. I found examples of previous winners and runners up and even just entry’s which were quite bad. By researching and finding out more about them, I then created a mood board of lots of different ideas I had in mind.

I then started to fully plan my E4 Sting. I had a vague idea in my head which I then incorporated onto my storyboard.

After creating my detailed storyboard I then scanned them into the computer and I opened up my Adobe Illustrator Project. I then, rather than using picture images from Google, traced my storyboard in Illustrator. I then used the pen tool and created new layers for each little section. I also used a different colour pen for each section so I didn’t get mixed up. So my E4 Sting was identical near enough to my story board.
On this screen shot os where all the shapes I created are filled in with colour, but all of this was created using the pen tool on Illustrator. This is the first scene in my video.

This is similar to the shot above. It is a scene in my ESting, I did it exactly the same as I did the one above using the pen tool.

This image is the last scene in my E4Sting; again it is done exactly the same, everything’s on its own layer. This is a screen shot of when it is was imported into Adobe After Effects. Just before I imported it into After Effects I imported the E4 Logo from Moodle which was actually the only real image that wasn’t created on illustrator.

As you can see on the screen shot all the layers with each individual thing which moved in my ESting is at the side with all the different slides which time when they enter the scene and when they leave.
Each separate layer.

After I had planned and put eveything where it was meant to go, I then rendered it which took a few minutes then exported it out as a video file. Not long after I uploaded it to my YouTube channel and onto my blog.
