Video Conferencing ChallengesCurrently single VC room requires IT staff:

• Relocate ethernet to proper switch in server room

• Configure Polycom with correct IP addresses

• Inform Ethiopian Telecom of coming VC

Elsevier Journals – restricted accessElsevier prefers to use public IP addresses for authorization – it is what is used at UM

SPHMMC – has 4 public IP addresses, 1 ISP, the “national” network is a 172.23.*.* (private)

What if one might use SPHMMC email domain for authorization and authorization?

• Several weeks of interaction with Elsevier support …

• Works now at SPHMMC, 8 more institutions to go …
