DESCRIPTION

On August 23, 2012 at the GROW Conference in Vancouver a panel of VCs gathered to discuss changes in the face of venture to a room filled with folks in the Tech start-up ecosystem. This deck is an overview of questions/background for "The Evolution of Venture" panel featuring Jeff Clavier of SoftTechVC, Ethan Kurzweil of Bessemer Ventures and Dave McClure of 500 Startups moderated by Mark Silva of Anthem Worldwide. As SVP of Emerging Platforms at Anthem, Silva actively engages the range of "Geekosystem" to bring qualified, disruptive technology to leading brands for unlocking new marketing and markets. The changes in venture directly affect the approach to picking winners in a crowded, fast-moving consumer tech and emerging platform environment. The embedded YouTube video shares the panel's responses. Notes version available with links at http://bit.ly/GROWVenture
