Family TreeThe Family Tree program is a biological pedigree open to both Church members and anyone who has registered on Familysearch.com.It is a live program, which means that changes are instant.Anyone who is able to sign in can see and change anything.It depends on sources to determine the most correct information.

Family Tree option appears -Click on tab to access program.

Top part of screen for research

Bottom part for Pedigree program

Couple pedigree Husbands ancestors above, wifes ancestors below.

Children to the left.

Zoom in or out (plus & minus) to size screen.

Use arrows to move screen. Click on small circle in middle to reset screen to original position.

Hover your mouse over a couple on the pedigree to show ordinance status and more relationships.

Click on [All Wives] to see both wives.

Click on [Children] to see all children in the family.

Click on [Parents] to see all parents connected to a person in the program.

Click on [Expand Tree] to see more generations.

Click on arrow to collapse generations.

Click on Persons name to view Summary card.

Six Detail areas available on screen. Click on [Open] for Vital Information.

Shows Vital Information see Edit Power point to learn how to add, edit or delete.Close Vital and Open Other Information

Person is Bolded in black as a spouse and a child. Shows both families.

View Family Power point to learn how to make changes.

Click on a persons name, summary box appears and then click on [View Person].

Click on any name in light blue to view their tree or details.Close Family and Open Sources.

Shows sources that have been attached to Person. Click on [Open Details] to view details of a source.

Click on [Watch] to tell the system you want a notification email if this persons information or relationships change.

Reopens the Family Tree program.Tree Tab goes to original person on pedigree.View Tree puts person in main position on pedigree.Click on [View Tree]

Click on [History] to view up to 10 persons visited in the past.

The Program keeps a list from previous visits to the website.

Family TreeExciting new program that is easy to maneuver around and is user friendly.Based on a biological pedigree and is source centric.Sources or proofs need to be kept in a personal pedigree program on your home computer.Still in the development process so look for changes and updates.
