How a website played a vital role in creating awareness on HIV issues in a
modest way
Background
‘I do it right’ primarily intends to widen a serene portrayal and is a step initiated to calm down a bit of all the
dejected and unsympathetic hype created around the vital issues in our society i.e. HIV and other STD (sexually
transmitted diseases). It is awfully poignant to depict the picture, when such an issue surrounding life and death is
nullified, even in the talks socially letting go the reforms taken as a responsible society. The social conduct on this
very note is like an ostrich which in a jeopardized situation does nothing but puts the face in the sand thinking that
if it cannot see a danger, there is no danger at all.
Against this very motion, the website – ‘I do it right’ was developed to reminisce people what they perceiving as
whatever, is killing the very core of humanity and civilization. The site emphasizes on helping the people to struggle
and fight against HIV. The aim is to create awareness among the people on the often un-talked issues about sex and
the sexually transmitted diseases. This site is dedicated to availing trusted information to the African people
residing in England.
Objective The agenda of the website – ‘I do it right’ is tranquilizing the adverse scenarios and wrong perceptions set in the
minds of people. As a result of these misconceptions, several people are not accepted in the society and are forced
to live an abandoned life. The site aims to institutionalize the mindset of the people starting from the very basics
related to sexual health, to the detailed core of this subject. Not only information pertaining to the cure and
precautions are detailed on the site but people are also availed with the facility of 24x7 help lines and support lines.
On this site, people get aware and learn to bond, share and connect with suffering communities so as to build up a
rational and sensible approach towards the sexual health issues. Stress is laid on providing health care information
along with assisting them with recommended solutions for people who don’t know what to do in case they are
doubtful of any STD. Hence providing information to the people and helping them to analyze and question the
sexual issues like HIV in a much better way.
Synopsis People often say – ‘Prevention is better than cure’ and so is the dictum of ‘I do it right’ website.
The site creates awareness among people and conveys information pertaining to precautionary measures to be
taken during and after a sexual intercourse to prevent the prevailing of sexually transmitted diseases. Trusted
information concerning the sexual activities and health issues is put forth in a very competent way, enabling the
users to understand the remedial prescriptions with ease. The site informs people about the topics related to HIV
and helps them to understand that considering the HIV community a social stigma, is not the solution.
To put in a nut shell, the website along with availing information on sexual health matters also gives a complete
inside out on topics like drugs, HIV transmission and testing, deterrent measures, safe sexual devices like
contraceptives, treatments and help lines to assist people in making a direct contact in case they are unable to find
the information they need.
“Fullestop” took the initiative as a social service more than a business perspective to enlighten the people for a

Challenges The most instigating challenge in front of the team when contacted by the promoters was to present the so
considered sensitive information about sexually transmitted diseases, in such a way that it could be readily and
perceivably accepted by the users of the site. The content and the user interface were to be developed in a
personified manner, with which the reader could directly relate with. It had to be duly considered on our part that
in no way the information presented on the site is misinterpreted by the users.
The other challenge was that conception and notion of ‘I do it right’ was very intriguing to us which needed a vision
to efficiently implement the need of the users.
Another key challenge was to design the UI of the website incorporating numerous different approaches
mandatory for the system, displaying them in an uncomplicated way so that the website should look simple &
easily readable. Fullestop had to look at creative and unique ways to optimize code and UI of the website so as to
present a unique combination extremely desirable for “I do it right”.
The information provided on the site had to be displayed and broadcasted in such a way that it remains in the
reach of even the non-technical users. A way had to be incorporated which shall allow the users to swiftly search
and filter the information needed
The next challenge was to provide a great navigation to allow visitors to find exactly what they’re looking for, much
more quickly, easily and dynamically.
