WHAT IS FRESH WATER?Freshwater is salt free water or it is not sea water. It occurs naturally on the

earth's surface.There are different types of freshwater regions: ponds and lakes, streams and

rivers, and wetlands. Freshwater is found inland and away from the sea. Freshwater is defined as having a low salt concentration—usually less than

1%.
