What is Biogas Resource Recovery?

• The new National Energy Policy provides a 10% investment tax credit to companies that begin using microturbines after January 1, 2006
• Includes balance of plant costs up to a tax credit total of $200/kW

When the shaft rotates at around 20,000 RPM,a boundary layer of air will form between the foils and the shaft.This layer of air will effectively lift the foils up and away from the shaft.
The springs provide counterforce to the foils and air, effectively keeping the shaft centered on it’s cushion of air.
After lift-off there is no metal-metal contact in the bearing, hence no friction and no wear.
The only wear and tear occurs during starting and stopping the MicroTurbine.

UL2200 & UL1741 Listed for Biogas
• Biogas-fueled Capstone 30-kW and 65-kW MicroTurbines are the ONLY generators of any type certified to the new 2006 UL 2200 standard for biogas-fueled engine generators
