DESCRIPTION
Delta Works is a name of the project of several dams and barriers to protect the South-West of the Netherlands from floods.The infographic tells the story of the floods in 1953 and explains how the Dutch engineers used geotextile to create a foundation for the massive dam. Geotextile is a super strong synthetic fabric that was invented nearly 60 years ago by TenCate, especially for this project. Today geotextile is widely used in many industrial applications.
