Verizon Telecommunications made CA Workload

Automation DE Edition (CA WA DE) the standard tool

for workload management across the Wireless

organization for distributed systems using the agent

technology. In this session, they will share insights on

how to successfully convert cron tabs to dSeries. They

will also review their processes and procedures used,

as well as share lessons learned and best practices.

New Application Roll In Methodology New Open Systems Batch Schedule Request For all new applications, jobs, resources, alerts, javascripts, etc., that need to be added, the following steps need to be performed:

For all new conversions to dSeries, an email must be composed and sent to VZW dSeries Scheduling team/email distribution before any ACSR request are submitted for the project assigned.

Submit the dSeries Agent Install ACSR for CA dSeries Agent deployment. The instructions for how to submit a dSeries Agent Install ACSR for CA dSeries are located via the following link: dSeries ACSR - Agent Request Forms.

Create and schedule a ‘CR’ VCOP for production install “add vcop instructions here”

Complete the Open Systems Job Inventory Spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is located on the Open Systems Scheduling Sharepoint site link, Open Systems Job Inventory Spreadsheet.
