Google Launching Cell Phone

Google is soon going to introduce a new class of Android mobile phonewith its own brand in the market with new features.

The new phone is being made by HTC, a major Taiwanese cellphonemaker and was designed from the ground up by Google.

Google would sell the phone directly to consumers rather than throughcarriers, which sell the bulk of mobile phones in the United States.

It is a more aggressive effort by Google to become a force in mobiledevices which has been insisting since long that it prefers to rely onhardware partners and wireless carriers to flood the market with a widevariety of Android-powered phones rather than building or sellingphones.
