PICTURES FOR MY POSTER I HAVE TAKEN

FOR MY FEMALE MODEL

ALL PICTURES….

Before starting to photograph my female model who wishes to remain anonymous, I assured that the appropriate miss en scene was prepared; I told my model to dress appropriately including hells and dresses in order to achieve a more feminine and somewhat elegant look. Using my IPhone camera and lighting provided, I was able to achieve the final outcome. I was unable to use professional studio lighting as well as the professional Canon camera provided as I was unable to capture the images within my school facilities due to personal reason that cannot be addressed on my blog/social networking. However, I still managed to capture a female model in order to please the audiences requires.

PREPARATION

PHOTOSHOP CONTRUCTION…

BACKGROUND OF POSTER

For the background of my poster, once I have captured my main images I had to pick and choose in order to find the appropriate photograph. Once I have chosen this image, I have used Photoshop Adobe to achieve my final outcome. I have deliberately not duplicated the layer of my imagine in order to achieve patterned background by using the quick selection tool and removing the background layers which enabled random parts of her facial features to be copied. I believe this pattern helped me to achieve a more professional look. By adjusting the brightens and contest, as well as the exposure I have achieved the the black and white effect which links back to the cover of my magazine which makes it consistent.

LAYER ON TOP OF THE BACKGROUND…

For the layered image on top on my background for my poster, I have also adjusted the brightness and contrast as well as the exposure, levels, curves, vibrancy and color balance to create a black and white effect. However, I made sure that the image consisted of more contrast therefore it stands out against the pale and washed out black and white background. To cut out the image I have used a combination of the quick selection tool as well as the magic wand tool and the rubber to remove the background of the original image and perfect the edges/outline of my model.

QUARK CONSTRUCTION

• Using QuarkXPress it allowed me to construct the layout of my poster. It also allowed me to upload the logo of my magazine at the left right corner for the consistency of my magazine as I have addressed beforehand. It also allowed me to place ‘’Jazz Henderson’’ in the Gill Sans Ultra Bold font similarly, to keep the consistency of my magazine as I have used this font throughout for titles mostly. QuarkXPress enabled me to layer the font copies of ‘’Jazz Henderson’’ with one text in white bellow a text of black on top to create a double effect.

FINAL OUTCOME

I have presented the logo of my magazine on the right left corner of the poster in order to remind the audience that my magazine consists of free gift therefore I believe this would encourage them to by the upcoming magazine.

Black and white image of my model links back to my cover which creates constancy throughput my magazine.

I created the name ‘’Jazz Henderson’’ as my model wishes to remain anonymous.

The double effect of the letter I created on QuarkXPress. I did this by having two copies of the name of my model by layering the black text on top of the white. This also related to the cover of my magazine as I did the same effect on the main artist ‘’Young-Z’’

I have layered another image with an increased contrast of a full body shot of my model to establish her whole figure. This shows the feminine side as the miss en scene consists of a dress, a bag and heels; My celebrity model ‘’Jazz Henderson’’ has also styled her hair along with dark makeup to meet the codes and conventions of the R&B genre of my magazine and look provocative.

I have created the two, black and red, lines at the bottom of the name of my R&B artist in order to achieve similarity and common ground with the logo as well as the rest of the magazine.
