Insight on Calendar-based software

Overview
A prototype of an application based on a calendar tool.
Features:- A display of every month of the year with photo. A task pad for the user to add their daily to do
tasks. An alarm system, functioning as a reminder for
appointments & meetings.
Usability Testing Plan & Result
Two techniques used:-
Interviews Scenario based observations
Both having questions categorised by rating scale.
12 participants used for the usability testing
Interview usability testing Questions focused on:-
What would the user want the system to do?
How would the system fit in with the user's normal workflow or daily activities?
How satisfied is the user technically?
How the interface looks and feels and does it appeal to the user?

Scenario based observation usability testing Questions focused on:- Ensure that participants can find and use the various
functions in the interface
Determine whether the functionality provided is valuable to the participants
Determine whether the interaction flow is natural and intuitive and matches current user workflow
Determine whether the application will meet the needs of a basic calendar planner tool.

Conclusion
Good points Interactive and functional with the technical
satisfaction. Valuable functionality with basic calendar tools.
Bad points Interaction flow not smooth with data
unstructured when moving from page to page.
