Part One: File and Print Sharing

1. Click on the Start button

2. Search “Sharing” and

click on Manage advance sharing

settings

Part Two: Creating a User Account

Why create an account?

So a user can access sharedfolders on this computer. This is required if you’ve enabled password protection.

From your control panel, create an account

From within the Control Panel

Select Add or remove user accounts

Select Create a new account

Add a name and then select Create Account

To create a password

Select the account you just created and then

select Create a password

Part Three: Sharing a Folder

Right click on the folder you want to share and

select Specific people…

Select the user you are giving access to, and click

Add and then Share

First, right click the folder again and select Properties

Then, select the Sharing tab

Select Advanced Sharing…

Check the Share this folder and the select OK

Accessing the Shared Folder

Select Network to list the computers on your

Pertino network

Double-click the computer you would like to access shares

and provide the username and

password

Here are the files in the shared folder
