Solution to resolve Outlook Cannot Start error message
• Start Microsoft Outlook in safe Mode.• Disable Add-Ins• Reset Navigation Pane Configuration File• Delete Navigation Pane Setting File
Method 1 : Start Outlook in Safe Mode
• First, you should try to open Microsoft Outlook in safe mode.
• To do so: Press “Start” Key + “R”• Type “outlook.exe<space>/safe”
Disable Add-Ins• If Microsoft Outlook opens in safe mode,
then disable the add-ins.• To do so: Click on “File” tab >> “Options”
>> “Add-Ins” (at left pane) >> Go to “Manage: COM Add-ins” and click on “Go…”
• A new window will pop-up named as “COM Add-Ins”, unmark all the “Add-Ins” and click on “OK” button.
…cont• After removing add-ins, restart MS Outlook
in normal mode.
Method 2: Reset Navigation Pane• You can also try to reset Navigation pane
to resolve the issue.• To do so: Press “Start” key + “R”.• A run dialog box will open, type
“outlook.exe<space>/resetnavpane”
Delete Navigation Pane• If you are unable to run “outlook
/resetnavpane” command, then delete the Navigation pane setting file.
• Press “Start” key + “R” to open run dialog box.
• Type “%appdata%\Microsoft\Outlook”, click on “OK” button.
