Get into ANY CPA Network!
Let’s face it: Getting into a CPA network isn’t easy. Whether you’re
pursuing white-hat or black-hat methods, there’s always the dreaded
“phone call” interview as well as actually having something to show for
experience. With this quick and simple guide, I’m going to show you exactly
how you can get accepted into any CPA network effortlessly!
Instead of walking you through every little thing (such as “what is
CPA?”) I’m just going to get started.
METHOD ONE
1. Get hosting. This is the number one thing you’re going to need if you
want to show that you’re a serious internet marketer to the CPA
companies. I recommend either HostGator or Dreamhost.
2. Get an email address for your domain. This is simple and free. You can
use Google Apps to get a domain-based email address setup for you for
free!
3. Goto Wordpress. Learn it, it’s your best friend. It’s a simple script that
most hosts have automatic installs for as well. What we’re going to do is
build a quick, five-minute website!
4. What you’re going to want to do is find a niche -- ANY niche. It’ll be a
throwaway one to show the CPA companies you mean business. This
can be weight loss, travel, phones, etc. ANYTHING you want!
5. After you’ve decided on your niche, just scour the internet for some
articles related to said niche. A great place to start is EZineArticles. Use
some of these articles to do about four or more blog posts on your
website. Decorate it with images as well.
6. Now that you have a website, it’s time to start applying for CPA
companies! Ones that I like the most are Neverblue, Commission
Junction, Hydra, MaxBounty, Copeac, and CXDigitalMedia. A list of CPA
companies will be provided at the end.
7. You’re going to need to be ready to answer these questions from the
CPA companies that call you for the phone interview, so get ready:
Q:How many uniques a month do you get?
A:50000-100000
Q:How do you get traffic?
A:I build blogs and webpages and I get traffic through PPC on google.
Q:How long have you been doing Internet Marketing?
A:1 year and a half
Q:What has worked for you in the past?
A:Only PPC
Q:What vertical/category/kind of offer you want to promote, or have
promoted in the past?
A:Anything that converts, I've done gaming, freebies, health, ringtones, email
submit, etc..
Q:Do you offer incentives?
A:NO
Q:How much do you spend on advertising?
A:100$ per day
Q:Do you work with other network, which ones?
A:YES, name any that you have been accepted at or name any random ones.
Q:How did you hear about us?
A:My friend told me, but he doesn't work with you.
Bend these answers to your advantage. Find out what YOU think is a realistic
number and stick to the story. The goal here is to come off legitimate. Don’t be
afraid to ask questions. The person of the other line will most likely become your
Affiliate Manager at the network, so take some time with small talk and be sure to
sound confident.
8. Once you’ve signed up for all these CPA networks, you’re going to have to
make a choice: Either you call them, or have them call you. There’s no right or
wrong answer here, but just know that if do not pick up the phone some
networks will continue to call you back even after reaching voicemail and will
eventually deny you if you cannot talk to them. For those who have a hard
time talking to CPA networks over the phone, I have another method listed
later on that has a good success rate.
9. Nervous? It’s OK. If you are, call a friend or two and talk a bit beforehand as it
builds confidence.
10. If you get denied, DON’T PANIC. It’s just one CPA network, there are plenty
of others out there!
METHOD TWO - No Website Required!
Okay, this method is a LOT tougher since it requires you to be a much smoother
talker.
1. You’re going to apply to these same CPA networks, only this time you’re going
to say that you are an email marketer.
2. In the comment section of your CPA application, you’re going to want to write
something like this:
I'm a email marketer with close to ten thousand geo-targeted, double opt-in
emails. I send a weekly/daily newsletter to my members and include serveral
offers with it.
3. Sometimes the applications require you to have a website to show. However,
I’ve had a good success rate with just typing in “email.com” which allows the
application reviewer to know that you’re into email marketing.
4. Talk to your Affiliate Manager. Again, this involves either calling them or
having them call you!
5. You’re going to have to answer some questions again. Let’s take a look at
some of the common questions they’ll ask you:
Q. How do you acquire your email addresses?
A. I run several membership sites that offer free ebooks and downloadable
materials. These sites have a daily newsletter which my members have
double opted-in for and I include the offers I promote with these newsletters
based on their membership.
Q. That sounds great. Can I see one of your websites?
A. Sorry. I’d show you, but I’ve had too many of my sites stolen in the past. This
doesn’t mean that I don’t trust you, but it’s just my policy.
Q. Thatʼ s OK, I definitely understand. Can I ask you how you go about
sending your emails? What services do you use? And do you apply a
suppression list?
A. I use Aweber to send my emails. Each email I send includes an opt-out link at
the bottom. I apply the suppression list for every network.
Q. Great. How many people would you say opt-out of your email list every
month?
A. Based on the most recent statistics I’d have to say less than roughly 2%.
Q. This sounds great! What type of offers do you promote?
A. (say whatever you like!)
At this point, your Affiliate Manager has already accepted you and is moving on
to general questions that will help them choose offers that might suit your CPA
venture the best. You need to tell the Affiliate Manager exactly what you want to
promote and he/she will help you get started.
I know that some of you probably don’t do email offers at all, but that’s OK. Once
you’re accepted into the CPA networks, you can basically do whatever you want
as long as it’s within the guidelines of the network’s terms of service.
METHOD THREE - No Phone Call!
The rules to Method One apply here. Get hosting, a website, etc. but instead of a
phone call, you can talk to your Affiliate Manager over AIM or e-mail. Some of
these networks even do automatic approval without the need for an interview
process.
6. Now that you have a website, it’s time to start applying for CPA
companies! Here is a list of the networks that do not require a phone call
to get in: clickXchange.com
darkblue.com
essociate.com
sharesale.com*
bluephoenixnetwork.com
linkshare
cj.com
clickbooth
capitall network
comission xchange
Coproser
Affiliateer
*Sharesale requires its affiliates to own a domain along with a domain-specific
email.
METHOD FOUR - International Affiliates
Okay, now here is a great method for those who are not operating in the US.
Many CPA networks employ foreign/international affiliates so don’t be afraid to
sign up! However, a little bit of English might be required for most of these
affiliates as the phone call process can be nearly avoided. Check out this
method: (Again, Method One’s steps 1-6 are included)
1. Get hosting. This is the number one thing you’re going to need if you
want to show that you’re a serious internet marketer to the CPA
companies. I recommend either HostGator or Dreamhost.
2. Get an email address for your domain. This is simple and free. You can

companies! Ones that I like the most are Neverblue, Commission
Junction, Hydra, MaxBounty, Copeac, and CXDigitalMedia. A list of CPA
companies will be provided at the end. 7. After sending in your application, email them with something along the lines of
the following:
Hi I just called the number provided but the number is busy, please call me
today.
When they call, just say something along the lines of:
Hello, this is (company name) inc. can I help you?
Two methods that have helped for me are to follow through with their inquiry with
one of these two excuses:
I’m sorry, I can’t hear your voice too well. Phone must be messing up. Can you
please seind your inquiry by email?
Or you can use this one
I’m sorry, Mr. (your last name) was called into a busy meeting just a few minutes
ago can you send your inquiry to his email?
And that’s it! Don’t overdo any foreign accents if you can help it because this isn’t
about being funny but about being convincing enough.
