INSTALLING MAGENTO EXTENSION IN 7 STEPS
Step by step guide for the installation of a Magento extension
Log in to the Magento Admin Panel, which can normally be found at www.yourwebshop.com/admin.
STEP 1
LOG IN TO ADMIN PANEL
Log in to admin panel
STEP 2
Disable the compiler
STEP 3
Enable the Magento cache
STEP 4
Download & extract installation package
STEP 5
Upload files to your server
STEP 6
Refresh the Magento cache
STEP 7
Log out and log back in
Optional Step
Re-enable compilation

DISABLE THE COMPILER
Log in to admin panel
Disable the compiler
STEP 3
Enable the Magento cache
STEP 4
Download & extract installation package
STEP 5
Upload files to your server

Refresh the Magento cache

Log out and log back in
Optional Step
Re-enable compilation

Navigate to: System Tools Compilation in the top Admin Panel menu.
If compilation is enabled, click the 'Disable' button.
STEP 2
ENABLE THE MAGENTO CACHE
Log in to admin panel
Disable the compiler
STEP 3
Enable the Magento cache
STEP 4
Download & extract installation package
STEP 5
Upload files to your server
STEP 6
Refresh the Magento cache
STEP 7
Log out and log back in

Re-enable compilation

STEP 1Navigate to: System Cache Management in the top Admin Panel menu
Select all items from the Cache Storage Management overview,
Choose 'Enable' from the Actions menu and
Click 'Submit' to enable all cache items

Log in to admin panel
Disable the compiler

Enable the Magento cache
STEP 4
Download & extract installation package
STEP 5
Upload files to your server

Refresh the Magento cache

DOWNLOAD & EXTRACT INSTALLATION PACKAGE
Log in to admin panel
Disable the compiler

Enable the Magento cache

Download & extract installation package

STEP 1
Download the Magento extension installation package from your Plugin Company account to your local computer.
Extract the package locally to any folder.
You should now have a Step 1 and a Step 2 folder in the directory you extracted the downloaded archive to.

UPLOAD FILES TO YOUR SERVER
Log in to admin panel
Disable the compiler
STEP 3
Enable the Magento cache
STEP 4
Download & extract installation package
STEP 5
Upload files to your server
STEP 6
Refresh the Magento cache
STEP 7
Log out and log back in

Re-enable compilation

STEP 1
Copy the contents of the extracted Step 1 folder to the root directory of your Magento installation (public_html). It's important to do this first!
Wait until the upload of the Step 1 folder is done.
Once completed, upload the contents of the Step 2 folder to the root directory of your Magentoinstallation.

REFRESH THE MAGENTO CACHE
Log in to admin panel
Disable the compiler
STEP 3
Enable the Magento cache
STEP 4
Download & extract installation package
STEP 5
Upload files to your server
STEP 6
Refresh the Magento cache
STEP 7
Log out and log back in
Optional Step
Re-enable compilation

Navigate to: System Cache Management in the top Admin Panel menu
Click the 'Flush Magento Cache' button to clear the cache.
STEP 2
LOG OUT & LOG BACK IN
Log in to admin panel
Disable the compiler
STEP 3
Enable the Magento cache
STEP 4
Download & extract installation package
STEP 5
Upload files to your server
STEP 6
Refresh the Magento cache
STEP 7
Log out and log back in
Optional Step
Re-enable compilation

Log out from the Magento Admin Panel.1
