1. Select the document library in the quick launch bar.
2. Select Library tab on the ribbon, and click on Library Settings in the Settings group.

option in the General settings section.
4. To modify the template, click on Edit Template option in the document template section.
TIP There can be only one default New Document. Create additional content types to use multiple templates.
