RULES FOR ROBOT A robot may not injure a human being or ,

through inaction , allow a human to come to harm.

A robot must obey orders given it by human being except where such orders would conflict with the first law.

A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second law.

ASIMO ASIMO, an acronym for Advanced Step in

Innovative Mobility , ASIMO is a humanoid robot designed and developed by Honda.

It was introduced on 21st October 2000. ASIMO was designed to be a multi-

functional mobile assistant. ASIMO is frequently used in demonstrations across the world to encourage the study of science and mathematics.

CONCLUSION Robots are taking over tasks which are deemed

dull, dirty and dangerous. The idea of robots with greater intelligence than

humans is at last 50 years away and may never come.

It’s not the robots we need to worry about; it’s the people who program them.
