A tsunami (plural: tsunamis or tsunami; from Japanese: lit. "harbor wave";[1]

English pronunciation: /suːˈnɑːmi/ soo-nah-mee or /tsuːˈnɑːmi/ tsoo-nah-mee[2]) is a

series of water waves caused by the displacement of a large volume of a body of

water, typically an ocean or a large lake. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other

underwater explosions (including detonations of underwater nuclear devices),

landslides, glacier calvings, meteorite impacts and other disturbances above or

below water all have the potential to generate a tsunami

Tsunami waves do not resemble normal sea waves, because their

wavelength is far longer. Rather than appearing as a breaking wave, a tsunami may

instead initially resemble a rapidly rising tide, and for this reason they are often

referred to as tidal waves. Tsunamis generally consist of a series of waves with

periods ranging from minutes to hours, arriving in a so-called "wave train".[4] Wave

heights of tens of metres can be generated by large events. Although the impact of

tsunamis is limited to coastal areas, their destructive power can be enormous and

they can affect entire ocean basins;

Spatial analysis

The first analysis is the area of West Java that are at risk when there tsunami with the pair of 50m height

Page 3: If a tsunami causes the sea water rose as high as 50 m

Figure 1. area with a height of less than and more than 50m

By the picture above the color purple shows that area at risk of tsunamis as

high 50m and the color Green shows that area not at risk of tsunami.

Second Analysis is the area of West Java that area at risk when there

tsunami with height between 10 or 20 m

Figure 2. area with a height between 10 or 20m

By the picture above the color blue shows that area at risk of tsunamis as

high between 10 or 20m and the color Green shows that area not at risk of tsunami

The third analysis the same way determine the cities in West Java is located

at an altitude of more than 1000m

Page 4: If a tsunami causes the sea water rose as high as 50 m

Figure 3. Area with a height more than 1000m

By the picture above the color blue is area with a height more than 1000m

and the color green is area with a height less than 1000m, so if occur tsunami with a

height less than 1000m, so the blue color area would not at risk of tsunami

Fourt analysis create a water body with a height more and equal than 500m

Figure 4. Water body area with a height more and equal than 500 m

By the picture above the color green is water body with a height more and

equal than 500 m and the color brown not water body.

Fifth analysis is calculate area paddy field with a height more and equal than

500 m.

Page 5: If a tsunami causes the sea water rose as high as 50 m

Figure 5. Paddy Field area with a height more and equal than 500m

By the picture above the color green is paddy field with a height more and

equal than 500m and the color brown not paddy field

Fifth analysis is calculate area settlement with a height more and equal than

1000 m.

Figure 6. Settlement area with a height more and equal than 1000m

By the picture above the color red is settlement with a height more and equal

than 1000m and the color brown not settlement

Last analysis is making distance matrix of the mountain with the city

Page 6: If a tsunami causes the sea water rose as high as 50 m

Figure 7. Distance matrix of the mountain with the city

By the picture above is distance of the mountain with the city, where any given buffer distance of 10 km
