Document Management

Document management outline:

1. Manager has a task to approve a part. (looks at workflow, sees where it’s been)2. They can see the part, as well as a lot of related documentation. 3. Open a customer specification to understand their requirements.4. Open test specification (different format than doc above) to see how testing went. See that test results are not

complete… Make a comment on the doc indicating test results need to be added, reject the task ( to approve the part ).

5. Show a user working in word with test doc. They see managers comment, make changes, change comment disposition. Check back in.

1. Customer is requesting ????2. I’m looking at the assembly that would have to be updated. - Show impacted items (see parts AND documents

that would be impacted. Other stuff too?)3. Check to see if this is already in a process? 4. Create change – make a note about impacted items, need to look into XXX…5. Submit to workflow – need to show there are a couple workflows available. One is very complex, with sub-

processes and such. Other is very simple. (WHICH ONE TO SUBMIT TO?)6. Jump to later in the process…. I’m looking at the change item, see lots of related stuff.7. Need to show audit trails and history reports… Not just text based, need to be some graphical stuff too –

Active workspace has those bar charts and stuff to show change, etc. Let’s show that!!
