to “follow” people based on interest or connections
Similar to a status update on Facebook, but typically used for more than just sharing thoughts.
Twitter: Terminology Tweet: tweeting is when you share
something. Could be a statement or a link. Limited to 140 characters.
Followers: followers are the people who see your tweets.
Re-tweet: re-tweeting is when you repost a tweet that someone else already posted. So you share it with your followers.
@: Putting an @ sign before another users username links your tweet to their profile.
#: Putting a # (hashtag) before a word turns it into a link, connecting you to all the other people on Twitter who used that same term.
