SENSORS LOOKING FOR LIFTARGUS-IS:
Tests on other LTA platforms were unsuccessful. The SMDC-BL has the management and experience to make it happen.
No shortage of new sensors and C4ISR surveillance systems coming on line.
The TBAs can fly and test the same class of sensors as Predator or Global Hawk at a small fraction of the hourly cost.
SPACE BASED PAYLOADS
Need to simulate a LEO or NEO satellite lifecycle? The TBAs can do that too.
The TBAs LTAS can fly 24/7. Perfect for configurations, assemblies or components that need to stay aloft for extended periods of time.

• The Test Bed Aerostat (TBA) can lift up to 400 lbs. at Sea level to 2200’ AGL and 350 lbs. to a ceiling of 5500’ MSL.*
• SMDCBL can assist in payload integration including custom payload sled, power supply and data communication with two aerostat systems. Our TBAs are mobile and adaptable.
• SMDCBL supplies a test record that includes flight profiles, meteorological and TBA relevant information to use as a baseline for system data collection.
*Accommodations can be made for specific experiments.
The SMDC – Battle Lab has the infrastructure, expertise, industry partners and program connections to support experimentation, refinement and augmentation of systems currently in the DOD and government inventory.
