• 25*100/20 = 125 is the orignal price.

• 125*130/100 * 80/100 = 130 answer

excise. What is its cost to the manufacturer (excluding excise)?

• Price = 8100*100/90 = 9000

• Cost = 9000*100/120 = 7500 answer.


12% of a number exceed 9% of the same number by 300. What is the

number?

• (12- 9) = 3

• 3% is equal to 300

• Thus number is 100/3 *300 • = 10000 answer.


What % of 1/5 is 4/7 ?

• 4/7 * 5/1 *100

• =2000/7

• =285% answer


10 years back 2% of country’s population lived in my city. My city’s population was 200000 at that time.

The country’s population as doubled in 10 years. Now my city

has only 1% population of the country. What is the current

population of my city?


Solution . .

• 200000*100/2 = 1,00,00,000

• Now it has doubled = 20000000

• Taking 1% of it again is 200000• Thus population of my city is 2 lakh now

also. Answer.
