PDS : 1- Optimisation of G & D station network in MaharashtraNetwork found to be sufficient. Some RG /GD stations found

obsolete in data collection network.

PDS : 2- Effect of changing water allocation in Jayakwadi Project (Nathsagar) Paithan Dist. Aurangabad.

• Actual yield received in Jayakwadi reservoir from 1975 to 2010 at 75% dependability is less than the estimated in DPR. Additional water diverted for non irrigation use than planned in DPR.

• Average annual income is increased. Yield received is less than average in consecutive 2 to 4 years & is prone to the getting in scarcity situation.

• The integration of the reservoirs in the upper reaches of the basin with Paithan reservoirs is invited for sustainable development in the basin.

Lessons learnt :

Linkages between central agencies & states needs further more

strengthening.

Continuous support of Consultants is needed in fulfilling the

HIN.

DSS (P) for upper Bhima basin & RTSF for Krishna basin found

to be helpful in managing floods & operating reservoirs.

Data Collection activity needs to be funded by Central Govt. in

view of new data dissemination of policy.

Issues of Keys /Licenses / acquisition of Rainfall forecast data,

needs to be attended in full for success of project.

International trainings are helpful in capacity building.
