Requirements

•

Login with an administrator account

Creating Users

1) Right-click on the CMX Storage location, and select a menu: Open With > CMX Storage Editor

Open the CMX Storage Editor

2) A CMX Storage Editor appears.

Click to show the User Manager view

Show the User Manager view

Create a new User account

1) Right-click, and select a menu: New User

2) Enter a new User ID

3) Click to create a new User

A User editor appears.

1) Click to expand the Changing Password section

Set a password for new User

2) Enter a password and verification value

3) Save the changed (Ctrl+S

or Menu: File > Save)

Editing a User’s Profile

Open the User editor

Double-click to open the User editor

Edit a user’s profile

1) Enter the values

2) Save the changed (Ctrl+S

or Menu: File > Save)

Changing a User’s Password

Open the User editor

Double-click to open the User editor

1) Click to expand the Changing Password section

Set a new password

2) Enter a new password and verification value

3) Save the changed (Ctrl+S

or Menu: File > Save)

Enabling and Disabling Users

Open the User editor

Double-click to open the User editor

1) Click to expand the Disabling User Account section

Enable/Disable a user account

3) Save the changed (Ctrl+S

or Menu: File > Save)

2) To disable the user account, select the checkbox. Otherwise, clear the checkbox.

Deleting Users

Delete a user account

1) Right-click, and select a menu: Delete

2) Click to delete

Creating Groups

1) Right-click on the CMX Storage location, and select a menu: Open With > CMX Storage Editor

Open the CMX Storage Editor

2) A CMX Storage Editor appears.

Click to show the Group Manager view

Show the Group Manager view

Create a new Group account

1) Right-click, and select a menu: New Group

2) Enter a new Group ID

3) Click to create a new Group

Editing a Group’s Profile

Open the Group editor

Double-click to open the Group editor

Edit a group’s profile

1) Enter the values

2) Save the changed (Ctrl+S

or Menu: File > Save)

Deleting Groups

Delete a group account

1) Right-click, and select a menu: Delete

2) Click to delete

Adding Group Memberships

Open the User editor

Double-click to open the User editor

1) Click to activate the Group Selection dialog

Add a member to a group

5) Save the changed (Ctrl+S

or Menu: File > Save)

2) Search the groups

4) Click to add a member

3) Select a group

Removing Group Memberships

Open the User editor

Double-click to open the User editor

2) Click to remove a member from group

Remove a member from a group

3) Save the changed (Ctrl+S

or Menu: File > Save)

1) Select a group
