Is the link between the trailer and poster clear?

100% of the responses stated ‘yes’ this means that the products work well together and link well which is what is expected within a promotions package

This shows me that the audience think that the storyline is clear in both but that also the genre is also clear. I have also seen that they think that props have been used in both of the products which highlights the link

The same font shows continuity between the products and makes the name stick in the audiences head. They have also noticed the same actors/actresses which also makes it memorable

The target audience gave me 100% positive feedback stating that the poster and trailer linked well together; they backed up this by pointing out the props I had chosen to use in both and also stated that the main characters are clear in both; they also felt as though the genre and storyline are clear in both so I feel that the poster has been a success.

100% yes- this shows the promotions package is a success as the products tie together and have a clear link for the audience to make.

It shows that the ideas of the film comes across in both of the products, and also that particular props are memorable and recognisable. The logo is also memorable alongside the characters.

I have seen that the website and trailer link together getting 100% positive feedback from the target audience. I have seen that they are recognising and remembering key features from the mise-en-scene and are also remembering smaller features such as fonts.

How well do the 3 products tie together?

2 people stated 8/10 and 1 said 9/10 however half of the people asked gave this a 10/10 which shows that the promotions package works well

All the results were at least 8/10 I feel this is a success because it shows that the product compliment each other and they work well at advertising the film that would be created. It also shows that the target audience believes that the promotions package is a success

The key information has been used; this is good because it means that the information I included does help the audience to find out more. They also said that they realised the female is dominant and the codes and conventions have been covered.

They like the poloroids that I have used and they also like the ransom lettering I have used. They also like the camera angles that I used

I felt as though the Poloroids linked the poster to the trailer however it also shows that they are successful for the poster on its own. It is also clear that they see this product as good as other posters out there and they have also noticed the storyline within the poster which is also a very good feature.

What could be improved about the poster?

I don’t agree with the picture of George being random as I feel this is a major aspect of the film so doesn’t fit in well; the other two only had an issue with the font which can be easily changed.

1 audience member didn’t want to improve anything; the other two stated to remove the light from the picture which is only a small issue. They also stated that one image was stretch so could be shrunk down which isn’t a major issue either.

The problems with the poster that they had were quite small and easily rectified. This shows me that the poster is of a good enough quality with only a few small issues. Even though I don’t agree with one of the statements the point is still valid and the audience member has their opinion which should be acknowledged.

They liked the interactive features and the layout of the website; they also liked the borders that I used and the navigation bar that I created.

They also liked the coverflow and the actor profile I created. They liked the fact that the trailer had been included to link the products together.

They liked the interactive features that I added; this was good because I wanted the audience to use the product rather than just being a ‘viewer’ of the product. They also liked the trailer being included as it brought together the products and showed the link between the products.

I agree with the actor/ress profile as this would have been a good feature however this would have been included within the actual website rather than on the front page; also I felt as though the background should be white and I wanted the black and white theme to be carried on.

The trailer should be bigger and more colour should have been added. Also one of the images has been cut off which is only a small glitch.

Question 9 - analysis

I was unable to make the trailer bigger due to the fact of little knowledge of the software; I had made the trailer the biggest it would go without the buttons (play/stop etc) being cut off. I also don’t agree with the colour as I wanted the black and white theme to be mirror from the poster into this.

I would have also included another actor profile however there was limited space so this could be something for another page within the website.

100% positive feedback – all of the audience members asked stated yes which shows the promotions package is a success.

Conclusion

I feel this feedback has shown me that the target audience are convinced from the methods used to go and watch the film; even though there are improvements the feedback has shown that these products all compliment each other and are a success.
