Scope: Central Viewing Dashboard

Don’t recreate what Nagios already does

Simplify Distributed Monitoring

Having more consolidated Nagios instances is not bad

Localized configuration management can be split by teams, geographic location, subnet, or even hostgroups

One broken server does not break them all

Simplifies scope of the individual Nagios server

No more boxes in use than with other methods:

1 Nagios + 3 Mod Gearman / DNX + 1 Ndoutils offloaded = 5 machines.

Works with vanilla XI or Core, no addons required.

Fusion has minimal hardware requirements

Backend Polling

Fusion polls each Nagios instance at regular intervals

Minimal performance impact even with many users

Data is cached locally, UI uses local cache
