ESN Purpose

• Facilitate the widespread adoption of caBIG™ standards, tools and infrastructure

• Expand the support structure for end users beyond the Workspaces, caBIG Program Staff and NCI CBIIT

• A collection of diverse organizations that with guidance from the NCI, caBIG Program staff, and caBIG workspaces will expand and support the caBIG community by providing appropriate services, mentoring and expertise

• Groups working under NCI-funded contract to serve as a knowledge resource and provide limited levels of support

• Demonstrated expertise in the domain or area of focus

• External outreach to facilitate the widespread adoption of caBIG standards, tools and infrastructure across biomedical research enterprise

• Advance and codify subject matter expertise within a specific domain to deepen and broaden caBIG capabilities

Center (KC)• PI visits KC website, discovers caTissue fulfills needs, downloads

software and associated documentation• PI contacts caBIG designated Service Provider to assist with

installation and data migration• After using caTissue for several months, PI desires additional

functionality • Contacts KC where a number of options are presented
