September Enhancement OverviewApplication Status Page – Redesign (ONLINE-566)

(9/11/2014)

The Applications & Status page of the application has been redesigned to improve the view of previously submitted applications, history of the status for those applications, and to allow for self-scheduling for OHC Evaluation Steps for those organizations that utilize this feature. When referred, we now allow jobseekers to see which departments to which they have been referred and include the requisition number. This information may be used in a notice to jobseekers about their referral and any actions necessary on their part, or as a point of reference in discussing the status of submitted applications. With this enhancement, when an application has been referred to multiple requisitions and self-scheduling is used, the applicant will be able to self-schedule for each requisition to which they have been referred.

Jobseeker Help – Improvement (ONLINE-1172) (9/11/2014)

A ‘Help’ link has been added to the menu bar for jobseekers applying through either the GovernmentJobs.com site or your organization’s career site. The links for Help & Support that were previously available beneath the Sign In button or on the username dropdown actions have been removed. This has been done to make access to Help tools more prominent and to improve jobseekers’ experience with the online application process.

Jobseeker Sign In – Improvement (ONLINE-1171) (COMING SOON! This feature will be released on September 18th.)

Jobseekers can now login using either their Username or Email address. Quite often when jobseekers are having difficulty logging in, even after resetting their password, they are entering their Email address in lieu of their Username. By adding the ability for jobseekers to login using either, we expect this to significantly reduce the amount of jobseeker login issues.

Updated Browser Compatibility (IS-16736) (9/9/2014)

In March 2014, we announced that we would be discontinuing support for Internet Explorer 8 for Insight and OHC at the end of August. With that change, we are now officially supporting the following browsers: Internet Explorer 9, 10, 11Firefox 25 and aboveIf you are using an older version of one of these browsers, it is time to update. Insight and OHC will continue to work on older browsers, but as we move forward, we will no longer test features or code to the standards of older browsers.  Eventually some features may stop working if you haven't upgraded.

In consistency with best practices in the industry and to provide quality service to our customers, our policy is to support the current release for both Internet Explorer and Firefox, as well as the previous two versions.  For job applicants, we will continue to support browsers used by 5% or more of jobseekers.

Oral Exam Roster Report – New Report (IS-17727) (9/9/2014)

A new standard report has been created for Oral Exam Rosters. This report functions much like the existing Test Roster report for Written Exams. It allows you to print a roster of all candidates scheduled for an Oral Exam for an Exam Plan and filter the list by Test Location and Test Date. This can be particularly helpful for managing interview rosters for those larger recruitments where interviews span multiple days and/or locations. This feature applies only to Oral Exam steps in Insight, not OHC Evaluation Steps.

Ad Hoc Report Builder – New Fields (IS-15311, IS-17730) (9/9/2014)

Two new fields have been added to the Ad Hoc Report Builder:Eligible Candidates / Banded RankHires / Position Code (for organizations who have an integration with Perform/Onboard/HR Core products or another HRIS system)Single Sign On – Improvements (IS-2458, IS-

17388, IS-18114) (9/9/2014)

For organizations who have a Single Sign On (SSO) integration with NEOGOV, the following changes have been made:

o Insight Administrators can enter the SSO URL on the Agency Preferences

o Notices sent from NEOGOV that include a link to login will use the SSO URL designated by the Insight Administratoro When users logout or time out from Insight or OHC, they will be taken to the SSO URL

Position Integration – Position History Snapshots (IS-17849) (9/9/2014)

For organizations that have a Position Integration with Perform/Onboard/Core HR or with another HRIS system, both Requisitions and Hire actions will include a snapshot of position data at the time of the approval action. A ‘PCN Update’ column has been added with an indicator to alert users if the position data is currently different than it was at the time that the Requisition or Hire action was approved. This allows approvers to see the most up-to-date position data during the approval process and when viewing the information at a later time, users can view what the position data was at the time of approval compared to what it is currently.

Round Table Discussion TopicsWhat are some examples of how NEOGOV has helped save

you time and effort in regards to recruitment, onboarding, and / or employee evaluations?

How does your agency onboard new hires? What works? What doesn’t?

With many public sector employees eligible for retirement in the next 5 years, what is your agency doing to pro-actively fill those upcoming vacancies?

How do you encourage your managers and employees to take more annual evaluations more seriously when merit increases are not being offered?

Outside of the currently offered NEOGOV products (Insight, Onboard, and Perform), what are some other areas where automation could be a benefit to your agency?
